Today, and under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the State of Qatar has became one of the most important countries at all levels and in particular the economic sector. Moreover Qatar’s Capital and largest city, Doha, is the hub of educational excellence, thanks to the tireless efforts and committed dedication of Her highness Sheikh Moza Bint Nasser in the educational sector where Weill Cornell medical College, Carnegie Mellon University, Texas A&M, Virginia Commonwealth, Houston Community College, George Town International, Debakey Institute and many more are all examples of the work of Qatar Foundation for education, Science and Community.
Despite the expansion and the development of new projects, Qatar still presents itself as a calm and serene environment.
I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to carry on my consular duties in such a prosperous and diverse city to better serve our mutual interests and to foster and strengthen the strong bond that ties the state of Texas and my country.
